Welcome to The Kids’ School! We are excited that you would like to entrust us with the care of your child or children.

Our Mission
The mission of The Kids’ School is to encourage and support healthy growth and development in every member of our community. Our curriculum is play-based and child-directed. We support children in the natural development of curiosity and love for learning. Our main focus in this early learning environment is to promote healthy social development, curiosity, compassion and respect for self and others.
Our School
The Kids’ School was originally a preschool owned by Kay Sparks and directed by her daughter Lindsay Baumann. In 2019, Lindsay had her first child and struggled to find the kind of care she was looking for. She decided to expand Kids’ School’s services to offer infant and toddler care. Kay now enjoys her retirement, while Lindsay owns and directs our new location on Old Farm Road.
As a Waldorf-inspired, family-owned preschool and childcare program, our curriculum emphasizes communication, play, and connection with nature through daily free play, crafts, active circle times, three outdoor sessions daily, and themed afternoon activities. We offer morning snacks and afternoon treats, with lunch provided by families. We are a licensed Center Based Child Care and Preschool Program that complies with all the Child Development Division (CDD)’s regulations.
When choosing care, consider the welcoming staff, clean environment, skilled team, stimulating activities, accessible facility, simple payment options, social opportunities, parent communication platforms, and convenient location—qualities you will find at Kids' School. Feel free to reach out to arrange a visit or learn more.
“I truly feel that the Kids School is the warmest, most stimulating childcare center in the area. I am a person that believes my child doesn’t need the newest of plastic toys to encourage their productive development. The Kids School encourages children to learn through play, song, story and art, which is how I believe children thrive best at the pre-school age.”
